About Ammala

Ammala and Jaya have an older sister, Annie, who also studied free of charge at Sunshine. Annie went on to get a scholarship to study in China. Her studies were cut short, however, due to the global Covid pandemic, and she returned to Laos to continue her higher education here. Their mother is one of our school office staff. Their father is now a bank employee. From a young age, their father had lived and studied many years in a Buddhist temple, as some of the boys from provincial backgrounds do in Laos. Then went on to higher education in secular institutes.
