About Kitty
Age 3
Kitty loves to have fun and enjoy herself. She likes to sing and do activities such as matching pairs and letters with pictures. Though she has only been in the toddler’s class this year, she can already recognize many Lao letters and can count to ten in Lao and in English. She’s lively and not at all shy to express herself.
Kitty's Family
Bobby and Kitty are siblings. Their mother is a kindergarten teacher and their father is a driver. Their mother, Macky, was sponsored by Ms. Xuyen Dangers, the first social worker in Laos (trained in Vietnam), to complete her kindergarten teachers training. During her course she also participated in creative after-school activities organized by Xuyen at the local primary school. Upon completion of her course, Macky was introduced by Xuyen to our school. Xuyen Dangers lived in Laos for many years and was well-loved for her promoting, in many facility-poor Lao schools, a creative child-centred, hands-on approach to education using easily available and inexpensive materials.
