The volunteer experience at Sunshine School includes a diverse range of activities and opportunities to bond with the school and local community. VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
Help our English teachers to teach English to our kindergarten, primary & junior high school children.
Teach Chinese @ kindergarten, primary or junior high level.
Teach English or Chinese (or other practical skills) to our staff.
Teach or do creative activities with our kids - music, dance, drama, art, crafts, sports, computers, gardening
Help our teachers to research and try out more progressive, more creative methods of teaching.
Help make educational materials for the teachers.
Help out with PR work – website, FB, promotional videos, other social media channels.
Help with fund-raising, research, data compilation, networking, and another office/library work.
Help to improve our facilities by repair work, landscaping, building, decorating, etc.
Help at our farm project with kindergarten, farm, or youth/adult education activities.
Distance volunteering may also be possible.

I was fortunate enough to have had an opportunity to volunteer for the school, initially for a two-month stint in March 2011 and then I returned for another five months of Sunshine in September of the same year. I loved being there that much that I had to return.
Sunshine School believes that inner strength, spirituality, love, and compassion for self, others and environment are important and its curriculum revolves around fostering these powerful core values. These values are very much aligned with my own.
